Sophos vs SonicWall: 2026 موازنہ

Fair Sophos Firewall vs SonicWall comparison صرف feature checkboxes پر نہیں رک سکتا۔ Sophos battlecard context کے طور پر useful ہے، مگر neutral truth نہیں۔

Security architecture: Xstream بمقابلہ RFDPI اور RTDMI

Rules daily work ہیں۔ Sophos میں source، destination، service، user، zone، Web Policy، IPS، App Control اور logging readable ہیں۔ SFOS v18 سے NAT الگ ہے۔

اگر بڑا existing SonicWall base ہو، team SonicOS/NSM جانتی ہو، fleet management اہم ہو، CSE strategic ہو اور Capture ATP/RTDMI کو high weight ملتا ہو تو میں SonicWall چنوں گا۔ مگر “install and forget” نہیں۔

کیا Sophos SonicWall alternative ہے؟

ہاں۔ Sophos 2026 میں serious SonicWall alternative ہے، خاص طور پر SMB اور mid-market کے لیے۔ SSL VPN risk، cloud backup trust، portal fragmentation یا پرانے rules سے نکلنا ہو تو Sophos Firewall natural candidate ہے۔

میں دونوں کو کیسے test کروں گا

لیکن Sophos کو محتاط رہنا ہوگا۔ میں اب بھی Team Sophos ہوں، مگر پہلے جتنا patient نہیں۔ Config Studio V2 مفید ہے، مگر UI اور Central کو slow رکھنے کا excuse نہیں۔ SonicWall existing environments اور mature NSM teams کے لیے valid ہے، مگر trust rebuild کرنا ہوگا۔
